Fiction is our herd queen and is found in the pedigree of the majority of our herd.  She has been everything we could have hoped for as a foundation doe for our herd.

Fiction finished her CH as a 3-year old.  She was 16th at the 2010 ADGA National Show that year and was the 2010 AGS National Champion Alpine as well.  She has been a numerous GCH and BOB winner for our herd, and was Elizabeth's showmanship doe for many years.  She earned her *M at a one-day milking competition, scoring 22 points.

Fiction has blessed our herd with many beautiful daughters over the years.  She has sons working in Indiana, Oklahoma, and Quebec, Canada.

Fiction is now enjoying a well-deserved retirement and keeps her position as "herd boss."

When we purchased Fiction back in 2009, the Juras offered us one of her daughters.  We were pleased to bring home Fantome--a long and gangly kid that amazed us with her length of rump.  She didn't disappoint when she freshened as a yearling; her mammary system was incredibly high and wide, earning her a RGCH at one of her first shows out.  She was very immature and long and narrow....but had the "right stuff in the right places" that led us to have faith that her best years were down the road.

Fantome finished her championship as a 3 year old,  and now as a 9 year old she is long, wide, and stands on strong feet and legs.  Her mammary is just as high and wide as it was when she first freshened, and in 2016 she earned her SG status.  She is most happy hanging out at home and enjoys her status as second in command.

We were thrilled with her 2018 linear appraisal score, which we feel was an accurate reflection of the quality of this beautiful doe.

Fantome has been bred to Windrush Farms Neo Intrigue for February kids.

Ritzy has always been one of our favorites--we love her flashy color and her beautiful mammary system.    She has been a bridesmaid many times over the years but never a bride....but regardless she is a valuable member of our herd.

Thus far in 2019, Ritzy has had a great year, winning 4xGCH, 1xBOB and 2xRGCH.  She is milking well and we are optimistic that this is HER YEAR!!

Aria was a small triplet but has always been a favorite.  She is long and elegant, and has her mother's beautiful rump and rear udder, with a nicer extension to her fore udder.  She is a slower-maturing doe like her dam, but we think is well worth the wait.  At the 2018 Missouri State Fair, she won Best Udder of Breed.  We are eager to see what she does in 2019!

Aria has been bred again to Aragorn for March kids.

Fanfare has always been a favorite--she started out as the triplet little sister, but she has come into her own this year as a 2nd freshening three year old.   Her smoothness of blending and feminine style, coupled with her dairy strength have helped her to consistently top the class and earn 2x Best in Show.

We were thrilled when Fanfare was placed 8th at the 2018 ADGA National Show, in a competitive class of over 40 3 year olds. Her 2017 daughter sired by Munchin'Hill Aragorn was 6th in her class at Nationals.

She appraised this year at 3-06 FS91 EEEE.

We love her milking yearling daughter and will be repeating that breeding to Aragorn for 2019 kids. Fanfare has a son working in Oklahoma and another working in Colorado.

Whimsy was a favorite kid in 2016--she was flashy and correct, and had a bigger-than-life personality.  Her dam, Whisper, was one of the nicest does we have ever bred.  We lost her to a tragic kidding mishap, so Whimsy is quite precious to us.

Whimsy is the tallest and longest doe in the herd, standing on excellent feet and legs and is correct from every angle.  She is dairy, yet has the strength of bone and scale that we hoped for when we bred to Gold Rush.  Her mammary system is high and has an abundant area of attachment, a smooth fore udder and a good medial.  Unfortunately, she freshened as a yearling with a hard mass in her udder that causes one side to be disfigured; we had hoped that this would get better as she matured but we were challenged with it as a two year old in 2018.  She did not get shown at the National Show because of this, and we feel she will never reach her full potential in production or in appraisal due to this problem.  However, we still believe that she is outstanding enough in what she offers that she will continue to be a valuable brood doe for us.

Whimsy has again been bred to Aragorn for March kids.

Sometimes, a kid is born and everyone just says, "Wow!"  Fascination is one of those kids--from the first day she hit the ground, we knew she was something special.  Around our house she is known as "Grandma" because she has her granddam Fiction's head (and her personality).

When she freshened (and she was the LAST one to freshen) we again said WOW!  She had a difficult kidding in mid-May with a single stillborn buck.  Her rump showed some trauma from her difficult kidding, but has continually gotten better over the year.

She is level, long, correct and has an udder that we believe will only get better with age.  Fascination was RGCH behind her dam in ring 3 at the 2018 Boon Companions show, and has traded off first place with Adeline and Fancy this past summer.  She was 6th place yearling milker at the 2018 ADGA National Show.  We think she is going to follow in her dam's footsteps in the next couple of years.

In 2019, she has been several times first and second in large classes, and most recently was 4x1st, 2xBOB,  2xGCH, 2xRGCH, finishing her championship.  We have never finished a 2 year old before, so we are pretty excited!!

Fascination has a son working at Cherry Hill in Oklahoma, and we are excited to see what he does for them!

Fancy was the last doe kid we got from our CH Fancy before losing her to uterine rupture.  Three years of quads was too much for our sweet girl, so you can imagine that our baby Fancy is quite the spoiled baby.  She reminds us so much of her mother--long, correct, and moves with elegance.

As a kid, she was 1st, GCH and BIS at the 2017 District 5 Alpine Specialty, and at the 2017 ADGA National Show, Fancy was 8th place in the Sr. Kid class, and was the 1st place Youth sr. kid.  She was subsequently selected at the 2017 ADGA National Show Premiere Youth Jr. Alpine doe.

She freshened with a beautiful mammary system, and continued her winning ways, trading around 1st place milking yearling honors with Adeline and Fascination. She was once again 1st place Youth entry at the 2018 ADGA National Show and was 14th place milking yearling.

Fancy will be bred to Fever for March or April kids.

The opportunity to purchase a daughter out of a beautiful doe like Antigone doesn't come along very often; Adeline was a Christmas gift from Elizabeth.  She is quite a character and is solid black like her dam, Antigone, and her full-brother, Aragorn.

Her quirky type-A personality cracked us up as a kid, and we were eager to see how she would freshen--and she did not disappoint.  She had a tiny single buck kid but wow is that udder amazing!  She has traded around 1st place wins all season with Fascination and Fancy.  We were elated with her 5th place win at the 2018 ADGA National Show.

Addie has been bred to Intrigue for March kids.

Fame reminds us so much of her dam.....long, lanky, but slow maturing.  She kidded with twins last year and with the extreme drought that summer she never regained her bloom, and wasn't shown and was dried off early.

She kidded with twin bucks, and with a mammary system that didn't disappoint our confidence in this young doe!  She has been shown 2x1st, 1x2nd in a large class of 2 year olds, and we know her best days are to come.  She is long, elegant, and exudes dairy strength.

Pearl Valley Rhett Romeo was one of the first herdsires we purchased to improve our herd.  He consistently threw high, wide mammary systems with amazing height and width of rear attachment, and smoothness of fore attachment that we were looking for.  One of his first daughters was out of Fantome--she freshened as a yearling, then we could never get her bred again.  She had everything we were looking for, and after trying for two years to get another Romeo x Fantome daughter, we were blessed with Fantine.

She didn't disappoint us when she freshened.  She is elegent, dairy, correct, and has a beautiful mammary system.  We are so pleased with her that we will be retaining her buck kid as a junior herdsire this year.

Fantine, typical of Fantome daughters, is immature but we know she is going to develop into something amazing.   She is one to watch!
