Sometimes, a kid is born and everyone just says, "Wow!" Fascination is one of those kids and from the first day that she hit the ground, we knew she was something special. Around our hose, she is known as "Grandma" because she has her granddam Fiction's head (and her personality). She continues to be an absolute standout in the barn and we hope that she has just as large of an effect on our herd as Fiction did.
When she freshened for the first time we once again had to say WOW and entering into her third freshening, it is no different! With an udder that we believe will only get better with age, we love just how well-attached and high her rear udder is. In addition, we adore the extension and smoothness of her fore udder. She is also incredibly level, long, and correct throughout.
In 2018, Fascination was the 6th place yearling milker at the 2018 ADGA National Show. Last year, she was first and second several times in large classes and finished the year going 4x1st, 2xBOB, 2xGCH, 2xRGCH, finishing her championship. We have never finished 2-year-old before so we were incredibly excited to see her surpass all of our expectations.
2020 saw some limited showing--she was BOB and a contender for BIS in her first two shows out. She stood 3rd in Champion Challenge against some older National-show quality competition--and to quote one judge, "She is so cute! She just needs time!" We are eager to get her reappraised in 2021 and hopefully in the ring at Nationals.
Fascination was bred to *B Alder*Rose Live Action and gave us twin does this year. We are happy that both have gone to show homes (and we are excited to see how they do next summer!). Fascination is bred to Holy Man for March kids, a breeding we hope will bring stature and production to the forefront.
