Her Story
Fanfare has always been a favorite–she started out as the smallest of a set of triplets, but always showed huge potential and finally came into her own as a 2nd freshening 3-year-old. Her smoothness of blending and feminine style, coupled with her dairy strength has helped her to consistently top the class and even earned her 2x Best in Show in 2018 and several honorable mentions in 2019.

We were thrilled when Fanfare was placed 8th at the 2018 ADGA National Show, in a competitive class of over 40 3-year-olds. In addition, her 2017 daughter, sired by Munchin’Hill Aragorn, placed 6th in the yearling class at the same Nationals.
In 2018, she also earned an appraisal score of 3-03 FS91 EEEE.

She continued to shine brightly for us, placing 5th in the 5-6 year old class at the 2021 and 2022 ADGA National Shows and winning several Best in Show awards at competitive midwest shows.
We had thought that she might retire from the show ring in 2023--as an 8 year old, we felt she didn't have anything to prove. She said, "Watch me!" and had a stellar year--winning 4 Best in Shows, including the 2023 Missouri State Fair. We are excited to see her daughters follow in her footsteps!

2024 will be her last year in the showring....she is starting to look like the grand ol'lady that she is, but is still beautiful. she has been 3xBOB and 1xBIS for us this year....placed 7th at the 2024 ADGA National Show, and has been a true joy to own and show. Lifetime total of 14 Best in Shows (all as a milking doe) is quite a testament to this once-in-a-lifetime doe...along with 3 GCH daughters sired by three different sires. She greets everyone to the barn looking for her favorite animal crackers and gives sloppy wet kisses as thanks.
We plan to IVF this year to Rochester. Depending on how she does with that, we may live breed her one more time, or may just allow her to continue to rule the barn and enjoy her retirement.
